Still needing to keep the house clean and tidy for home opens, so I have been playing at making watercoloured backgrounds for a pastel painting I have in mind to do. This is a salt sprinkled reddish grey background, which is more or less the colour I was aiming for. I think my sewing machines will think I have deserted them forever.
