I have been trying to "free motion" embroider on my Husqvarna Designer 1 and it just can't do it. As an experience fibre artist can you recommend a machine that will fee motion embroider?
Jan, a lot of textile artists use an old non computerised machine for free motion, I only have an old non computerised Bernina I use for everything. I did buy an old non-computerised Husqvarna for $100 a while back, they are cheap enough if you find a good one. Have you asked your dealer about this, I am sure your Designer 1 should free motion embroider? If you do get an old machine check that the feed dogs will lower.
